Phil Afonso and his fiancée Lisa Eilers are the heart-and-soul co-owners of Clean Slate RV Repair in Carver, Massachusetts. Phil — born and raised in Falmouth, still proudly South Shore through and through — is the lead certified technician who's fully licensed and insured, a wizard of furnace fixes and wonky water heater rescues. (He swears he once talked a busted heater back to life with nothing but duct tape and sheer Cape Cod stubbornness.)
Lisa? She's the CFO, the brains, the one who keeps the books from turning into a horror movie — scheduling jobs, chasing invoices, and making sure Phil doesn't accidentally fix a customer's RV into a spaceship.
Together, they juggle rigs, receipts, and raising their kids like it's no big deal — because honestly, after dealing with a leaking slide-out at 2 AM, everything else feels like a breeze. When the day's done, Phil's either fishing off the pier, tweaking his own camper (Lisa calls it "therapy"), or just kicking back in Carver with the family and their three dogs — Cali, Bruin, and Grace — laughing about how they somehow turned a love for road trips into a full-blown business.
They say home is where the heart is… but for them, it's also where the toolbox lives.
Beauty and the Beast
Like a slightly less elegant version of Beauty and the Beast, Phil is the one doing all the heavy lifting — fixing things, building things, and generally wandering around looking busy. Lisa, of course, is the boss and the brains of the operation, the one actually running the show while Phil thinks he is. She's the strategy, the vision, and the reason anything works at all, while Phil provides the muscle, the enthusiasm, and occasional comic relief. Somehow, like any good fairy tale, it all works out perfectly in the end.
